When was the last time you saw your natural hair colour??

My hair is naturally a golden light brown, I think!! I haven't had my natural colour since I was about 14, and I turn 30 in May!! I start to grow it out, then I go right back and dye it dark brown again. This last time I dyed it, I chose a dye that turned my hair black. I hate looking in the mirror at my hair, it's just too dark. kick myself for doing it, but I go right back and do it again, and I think it's coz i just dont have the patience for the whole "growing out" procedure.

I often think about just shaving my head, and starting fresh but I know I don't have the guts to do it. How can I go back to my natural colour without doing something drastic?

When was the last time you saw your natural hair colour??

TODAY :]

never dyed it, stayin natural

When was the last time you saw your natural hair colour??

7th grade was the last time I saw my natural color. You should try Color Oops!. Buy it at Walgreens. It got rid of all the black in my hair. It might not restore your color completely since you've been dying it so long, but it will help.

When was the last time you saw your natural hair colour??

instead of dying it dark next time try dying it back to a color close to your natural color, if you aren't sure let a little roots show then show them to your hairdresser so she can dye it close. this way when you're natural hair grows out you won't have obvious roots to drive you nuts.

you could also try a dye remover like "color oops"

When was the last time you saw your natural hair colour??

let it fade..

i dyed mine strawberry blonde a couple years ago and within a few months it faded to my natural color.

When was the last time you saw your natural hair colour??

When was the last time you saw your natural hair colour??

My hair's been my natural color for the past 3 years.

When I decided to stop dying it, I just let it go through the ugly two-toned phase and kept getting haircuts until all the dyed hair was gone. It sounds terrible, but I didn't have a problem with it.

I've also shaved my head before, and honestly, it's not that bad. You should do it!

When was the last time you saw your natural hair colour??

I have never dyed my hair permanently. Have dyed it pink, blue and purple a few times, but only temp.

If you are thinking of shaving your head, now is a great time. "The Worlds Greatest Shave" is coming up. You could help a lot of people by fundraising and donating to charity :)

When was the last time you saw your natural hair colour??

the last time i saw my natural hair color was when i was about 7 lol and now im almost 14 lol

When was the last time you saw your natural hair colour??

the best thing you can do is wait until you have a little bit of outgrowth and go to a hairstylist and see if they can remove the color. Here's an example of what can be be done, but everyone's experience is different. My cousin has a natural light golden brown hair color. I colored it darker to a dark auburn brown. The next month she wanted to go back to light so I had 2 options. One was to use an oxidative color remover and see how much of the color would come off and hope there wasn't anything scary under there or number two was to highlight her hair and let it grow out a little more. I highlighted it which hid the outgrowth a little and she was able to let it grow back to natural.

Neeed help with transitioning from relaxers to natural hair?

wat is the best way to do this? i need to get my hair healthy again becuz relaxer don't work on it anymore, but my hair is very short and gets hard to comb when it is natural. i do moisturize it, but are there any styling tips so my hair will be easier to comb and style?

Neeed help with transitioning from relaxers to natural hair?

While you are transtioning, I would suggest to style your hair in the style you want it in before it dries after a wash. You can use rollers if its long enough for that. If it's not, then as it grows you can put it in ponytails to dry or the rollers.

I am not sure what you moisturize with, but most products made for AA women are not even moisturizers. Like oils. They only seal in moisture. I know some women transitioned using scurl activator to help them be able to comb it better. (I used liquid hair mayo by africa's best which I think led to my not having much breakage) Always use the widest tooth comb you can find. And maybe experimenting with the no poo method. Meaning don't wash with shampoo. Conditioner can work just fine. (yes it's true) if you still are not so sure about it, add some lemon juice to it or use vo5 clarifying conditoner kiwi and lime. Shampoo tends to strip the hair. Leading you to continually have to fight the battle of dry hair.

there are also some great websites to help you:

nappturality.com

both have advice about what I have wrote about.

Neeed help with transitioning from relaxers to natural hair?

Well I will assume you have curly hair if you are using relaxers

first keep conditioning it if you have any beer around pour that on it and leave it do not wash it out the hops and wheat in beer is great for your hair and also put a leave in conditioner every day. there is also this spray you get to help the curl spray it on it is like anti frizz spray and just scrunch your hair with your hand after do not blow dry it ever.. It will be better than you know it in no time.. I was born with straight hair had a hospital stay and then came out with curly it took me a while to get used to it but them are the tricks I have found work. if you can help it do not wash it every day the number 1 problem with curly hair for some reason has less oil than other hair washing it strips the hair.. if you can go without washing and the same day pour the beer on even better.. Also if you put on a conditioner that you wash out put it on at night and comb it in and wash it out the next day hope this helps

I know dying your hair is bad for it.......but what if I really hate my natural hair color? Then can

I've heard that dying your hair can major damage to it,but I really hate my natural hair color!!!!!!Should I just ask a hair proffesional first??Because I really really really really really want to dye my hair!!!!! If you could help me out that would be great,THANKS!!!!!!!!!!

I know dying your hair is bad for it.......but what if I really hate my natural hair color? Then can I dye it??

I dye my hair every 5-6 weeks.

Had blonde hair for about 4 years, went black 3 years ago, and am planning on staying black, my hair is in great condition, i use aveda products so they keep my hair in really good condition, i still straighten, curl and crimp my hair every week... you just have to really take care of it!

my sister had blonde hair and dyed it so much,so often it all broke and went a greyish colour, its very short now, and shes had to dye it brown, but its getting in better condition now....jst becareful!!

I know dying your hair is bad for it.......but what if I really hate my natural hair color? Then can I dye it??

if you really hate it, then you should dye it.

I know dying your hair is bad for it.......but what if I really hate my natural hair color? Then can I dye it??

i dyed my hair and nothing happend just do it

I know dying your hair is bad for it.......but what if I really hate my natural hair color? Then can I dye it??

I know dying your hair is bad for it.......but what if I really hate my natural hair color? Then can I dye it??

im a cosmetologist and dying your hair is only bad when you do it too much or misuse the product, such as leave it in too long.

I know dying your hair is bad for it.......but what if I really hate my natural hair color? Then can I dye it??

i think if your hair is so bad die its like the only thing you can do

I know dying your hair is bad for it.......but what if I really hate my natural hair color? Then can I dye it??

Everyone's natural colour always looks best on them. :)

I know dying your hair is bad for it.......but what if I really hate my natural hair color? Then can I dye it??

Dude, just dye it. Seriously. Yeah, dying your hair can damage it, but I've been dying mine every 3-4 weeks for months now and it hasn't fallen out or anything. If you're really worried, you can ask a hair professional what you can do to keep your hair healthy, but dying your hair really isn't a big deal. I hated my natural color, too; I'm so much happier now that my hair is a color I like.

I know dying your hair is bad for it.......but what if I really hate my natural hair color? Then can I dye it??

It depends on what color you want in your hair. If your hair is really dark and you want it lighter, ask a hair stylist on what shades would work for your skin tone.

I know dying your hair is bad for it.......but what if I really hate my natural hair color? Then can I dye it??

It's not bad to dye your hair! It's bad to dye your hair multple times without waiting 3 monts! dying your hair wont damage it it you dont use anything extreamly harsh like 5 times in 2 weeks.

I know dying your hair is bad for it.......but what if I really hate my natural hair color? Then can I dye it??

Professional hair stylist have a type of hair dye that doesnt hurt your hair as bad as the ones on the market. I say get your hair dyed by a professional, its worth it.

I know dying your hair is bad for it.......but what if I really hate my natural hair color? Then can I dye it??

I've been dying it for years, and it still looks fine. I use L'Oreal Preference, and the conditioner it comes with actually leaves it softer after wards. Just use a shampoo and conditioner designed for dyed hair, it it will stay in good shape.

Should I have long natural hair or a hairstyle..?

Should I have long natural hair or a hairstyle..?

Longer hair is associated with being young... that is why a lot of people keep their hair that way... so yes a shorter or more styled hair cut will make you appear older ...but make sure you like it. hope this is of more help..

Should I have long natural hair or a hairstyle..?

Leave it long and style it up sometimes for a different look or for special occasions.'

Should I have long natural hair or a hairstyle..?

Should I have long natural hair or a hairstyle..?

cant tell because i cant see a pic of u

Should I have long natural hair or a hairstyle..?

It depends on if you think long hair makes you look good. But i would go with a style. My friend got her hair cut in a style and it makes her look older than she is. I would suggest getting like a magazine or something with many different hair styles and pick one that you like, or pick two, and modify one with the other.

Should I have long natural hair or a hairstyle..?

Firstly, from what i've heard from a lot of guys (and comments on my own VERY long hair)... (I'm 18, btw) guys LOVE long long hair that is neat. So I really hope that you do keep your hair long! Secondly, if it's not already, you may want to highlight your hair - which will definitely make you look that much more older. My hair is a brownish sort of color, and I use Garnier Nutrisse Nourishing Multi-Lights in Lightest Auburn to highlight it. It looks AWESOME! Thirdly, I don't know how often you put your hair up and all, but do you still use those little clippies and all that plastic junk for your hair? They make you look younger, too - so make sure you don't use 'em. Also, if you are putting your hair up, pull it all back tight, and don't have sweeping hairs at the front. Everyone says I look like i'm at least 20 when I do that. Then lastly, it's pretty much ALL in the makeup! HOLY CRAP! I see all these middle schoolers running around lookin' like they can get in the club! They look like they're at least 18!!! And they've all got quite a bit of makeup on, which makes it misleading. So i dunno if you use makeup or not, but if you should try using a black liquid liner in black to try and get the "Angelina Jolie" eyes... just remember, thin near the inner corner of your eyes, and thicker near the outer edge - and extend the liner a little further at the outer corner. (Go have a look at some of Angelina's pics with liquid liner - they look awesome!) And if you screw up - don't worry - wet a q-tip, smoosh it, and fix up your mistakes! Put some mascara on top and a weeee little bit on the bottom (no bottom liner!!!), and opt for NATURALS as far as eyeshadow - browns, beige, and the works. Light shimmery color near the eyebrow, medium color on the lid, and darkest at the crease! You can't go wrong!!! Have fun and hope this helps! (Oh, and it also could be the way you dress... dunno... but dress a little sexier, but not slutty!!!)

Goodluck!

Should I have long natural hair or a hairstyle..?

I think you should keep your long hair but get tons of layers in it of all lengths! That would help you look 16. Something else that may help is maybe updating your style. You may have a perfectly good style but I don't know you, but that may be something that will help! Hope this helps!!!

Should I have long natural hair or a hairstyle..?

Long, natural hair is simply beautiful. It is easy to take care of, easy to style and let's face it. The guys love long hair.

You can get variety and style by doing different braids and pretty updos.

If you cut a bunch of layers you will just have to grow them out and layers are a pain when you are trying to do braids and updos. Keep it simple.

African American/Black people and natural hair styles?

What is your response to natural hairstyles (i.e. dreadlocks, afros, etc)? Has anyone treated you different from when you had a relaxer to you now having a natural hair style?

African American/Black people and natural hair styles?

I think that natural hairstyles are beautiful on our brothers and sisters. I have gone back and forth over the idea of going natural...(which is so much healthier for our hair, in my opinion), but get this: Its always another sister or brother who belittles the natural hairstyle. When I did wear braids, our other brothers and sisters thought it was SO pretty, but if i bring up the subject of loc's, then brothers and sisters go "Braids are okay sometimes, but locs are so permanant....and besides, it just doesn't Look well-kempt"

Personally, I think that we have gotten so caught up in what society and the fashion industry deems "beautiful", that we try to conform to their idea of beauty instead of what makes us beautiful.

African American/Black people and natural hair styles?

People have treated me different since I went natural about 2 yrs ago. For me my natural hair is who, I Am! it grows out this way and why should I constantly have to slap a perm on this to fit in with the world. I DON'T! and I'M NOT! Report It

African American/Black people and natural hair styles?

Im a black male with dreadlocks, 6'2" 250. I get respect and i give respect!

African American/Black people and natural hair styles?

I had just recently had the relaxer that was in my hair removed. I think people havent judged me from my hair which is naturally soft and straight anyways. I think as long as your hair is presentable and decent looking you will not get eyebrows

African American/Black people and natural hair styles?

I think that natural hairstyles belong to my people and I love them. I'm about to get my hair done in dreads right now. I think they're authentic and pure to the African culture. I've never got treaten differently because of my hair.

African American/Black people and natural hair styles?

I am gonna have natural hair soon because I am growing my hair out so I haven't had much reaction yet. However I LOVE natural hair. It is so Unique and Versatile. Also it reminds me that there are some people that love their natural selves.

:o)

African American/Black people and natural hair styles?

I love them, matter of fact I'm working on it and for Trini-Haitian, what do you mean that your hair is longer than African Americans?

African American/Black people and natural hair styles?

Some of the people who responded to me oddly and disapprovingly where other Black people. Perhaps it was scary and too bold of a statement, and one which they could not undertake, to embrace one's natural beauty and "return to your roots" so to speak.

I have locs and find them much easier to maintain than my days of "frying, dyeing and laying it to the side."

African American/Black people and natural hair styles?

Yes since i took out my perm and turned it natural people has treated me different. I work with white people so in my industry of work this was really weird for me to do. But they know i work well so they have nothing to say. But the most of the people thought i looked better with natural hair.

African American/Black people and natural hair styles?

I like the natural look. My dad used to have dreadlocks. I used to have mine in braids when I was younger but now I don't have time for that. So I got a mild relaxer just because of time issues. When I got my relaxer for the first time people were like "is that real" because I'm half Indian and Haitian and my hair is longer then an African Americans hair.

I mean that my hair is longer than an African Americans because I'm halif Indian. Most African Americans that I see have shorter hair than me.

P.S. For the person above me dreads is more of a Caribbean hairstyle not African. Most Africans have Afros or braids not dreads.

Who can i get straight looking natural hair when i have really curly hair.?

i have really curly, frizzy hair, so i tend to straighten it alot. at times it does look natural. and split ends. and i still want to kepp my hair healthy.

Who can i get straight looking natural hair when i have really curly hair.?

have you tried a chemical straightener? Ask your hair dresser.

Who can i get straight looking natural hair when i have really curly hair.?

try rebonding :)

Who can i get straight looking natural hair when i have really curly hair.?

It depends on if you want a permanent solution or if you want to be able to wear it curly on occassion. For a permanent solution, definately go to a professional stylist for a chemical straightening. Be aware that you can damage your hair this way, and you will have to invest in the upkeep of visiting the stylist on a regular basis.

For a more flexible solution, I recommend a Chi Iron. I'm a curly girl and all my curly friends swear by them. I haven't used it myself, because I love ... no, worship, my curly locks! Although I color my hair, I wouldn't dare try to straighten my curls!

If you are having trouble with frizz, as most of we curly girls do, try different products. Stay away from anything with alcohol or harsh detergents. Use moisturizing shampoos and conditioners. If you have thick hair, use an anti-frizz serum, and if it's thin, use a leave-in conditioner. Also, gel made without alcohol gives good hold and volume. A finishing spray will lock in the curl %26amp; moisture. Look for one without alcohol to avoid the "crispies".

I use gentle shampoo and a deep conditioner (Pantene). Then I use an inexpensive non-alcohol gel and a curl revitalizer spray. Hope that helped!

Who can i get straight looking natural hair when i have really curly hair.?

Unless you want your hair permanently straight or you want to risk breakage, I wouldn't recommend a relaxer. A great way to temporarily straighted your hair would be to use products that smooth out fizzes such as frizz Ez or Citra shine. After applying one of these products, you could use a flat iron to loosen the curl. Be careful not to over use the iron because too much heat could damage you hair. Thermasilk products are also good to protect hair from heat.

How do I measure my natural hair?

What, you mean measure the length...?

The easiest thing to do is have somebody else pull it straight, then have them or someone else use a tape measure from tip to tip.

How do I measure my natural hair?

Use a straightening tool like a flatiron, or blow dry a section using a comb. if you want to measure the longest section use the middle back of your head for the most accurate.

How do I measure my natural hair?

you will probably need to straighten it out or go to a professional ,who will more than likely do the same thing.

If I dye my hair black, Can it fade to my Natural Color?

Ok, I am growing my hair out. Its about a dark brown. Last time I had about 4 inches of roots grown out and I went to the Salon and told her to not touch my roots and dye the lighter already died hair. Now I have about twice as much roots and want to dye it again. I'm really scared she will dye my natural hair. If she touches my roots will the color fade out? Also, you know how when you dye hair and it gets light and fades. Will it also do that even though she died it darken then it was will it get lighten then it was to begin with?

If I dye my hair black, Can it fade to my Natural Color?

The black will not fade out if it is permanent, so you can try a semi-permanent dye instead. The black will leave a stain if you use a semi-permanent. My advice is just don't even dye it darker because it is so hard to get out. Try a reddish dark brown for the fall season.

Also, only semi colors and permanent red colors wash out and lighten. Permanent means its in there to stay. The stylist probably used a semi dye because they are less damaging. That's why it lightened.

If I dye my hair black, Can it fade to my Natural Color?

I'm pretty sure your roots will turn brown,

If I dye my hair black, Can it fade to my Natural Color?

I dont believe so...you may want to tint it...they say the sun works great for lightening treatments, you may also want to wait until it grows back out for your natural color.

If I dye my hair black, Can it fade to my Natural Color?

aren't u supposed to bleach it or something?

If I dye my hair black, Can it fade to my Natural Color?

i have blond hair and i died my hair black and it came back as blonde as ever... ive also died my hair brown and red nothing changed... the only reason it may appear darker is because if your still young (under like 25) you natural hair is still changeing and getting darker so the dye itself wouldnt darken your hair but it may appear darker than you remember it... ^_^ Good luck!

Straw set for transiton from relaxed to natural hair?

I am an African American female trying to make the transition from relaxed to natural hair. I haven't had a relaxer for almost a year, but I don't want to cut off my relaxed hair. So, I was wondering if a straw set would be a good idea for my hair and how do I take care of it?

Straw set for transiton from relaxed to natural hair?

Yes, a straw set is a good transition style, as is any wet set.

To take care of it, spritz with a light moisturizer and finger fluff in the morning, and wrap with a loose satin scarf or bonnet at night.

Hope this helps, Kaya

Straw set for transiton from relaxed to natural hair?

Be Ready for a lot of salon time.

OUIDAD.com is a good place to go adn find a stylist who knows how to give you an every day thing that need little to know salon maintenance.

Dying you hair loosens you curls. Just a rinse, not a real dheavy dye job. I have natural hair, but I never ever get temporary solutions. Instead I buy good products. There is a lot out there.

As stated before, a dye rinse will loosen it, after that just shampoo, condition, and moisturize moisturize moisturize. The hairl will train and your curls will look like you got a straw sit without spending all the money.

(I use OUIDAD Shampoo and Conditioner for kinky hair and Cantu shea butter leave in conditioner. The more leave in conditioner you use on WET hair, the better it looks when it dries)

Love your curly hair! It will look great with practice and patience.

Black women, how do I style my natural hair with straw curls?

I have very long, very thick natural hair. Normally, I style my hair in braids, but I decided to let my hair breathe for a while. I didn't want to wear my regular afro, so I would appreciate any tips on styling my hair this way. I know that I need straws, but what else do I need? How long can it typically take to style? If you could provide a link with how-to instructions, that'd be great. Thanks!

Black women, how do I style my natural hair with straw curls?

Straw Set Black Hairstyle

Wearing a straw set black hairstyle is a great way to eliminate the need to work on your hair daily and while it is going out to natural again. To acheive a natural black (Afro) hairstyle, you'll need: several plastic drinking straws or small perm hairstyling rods that are slightly larger for looser curls; setting lotion; and hair end tissue papers. (See instructions on product packaging for proper use of each item.)

INSTRUCTIONS

Step 1: Start by shampooing and conditioning your hair and then saturate it with a high quality hair setting lotion.

Step 2: Part you hair into 1/4 to 1/2 inch sections and place end papers on the ends of your hair.

Step 3: Roll your hair onto each straw and then secure them using hair pins.

Step 4: Repeat steps 1-3 until you have completed your entire head.

Step 5: Dry your hair under a hair dryer.

Step 6: Remove the straws and separate each curl using your fingers. For this hairstyle, only finger combing your hair is necessary, however, to insure your hair does not become dry, spray it with som oil sheen styling conditioner.

Black women, how do I style my natural hair with straw curls?

I agree with above. Just don't forget to curl your hair down the straw. Not just wrapping all of your hair around the straw...it will never dry like that.

From red tint back to natural hair color?

For last 1,5yrs I've been coloring my dull light brown/dark ash blonde hair red with l'Oreal Feria Scarlet Power (originally done in a local salon with Majirouge + added majired to boost) but now I'd like to get back to my natural color, with maybe caramel highlights. I've foiled my hair myself in the past, but never with red tint on.

I went back to the salon to get the red done again (6m ago) but the colour came off within a month :( and I didn't go back to complain as I'd been on holiday just after the application. I figured they would blame the sun for the loss of colour. Instead I've been reapplying the colour regularly but now have visible regrowth again.

I presume using a remover (Goldwell, Color Oops etc) will not lift the red, only make it lighter? And attempting highlights now would result in orange or pink highlights?

If I use a remover and all over tint with a brown tint similar to my tone (6-7) how soon can I attempt highlights?

From red tint back to natural hair color?

If you want to get rid of the red tone in your hair, dye it with ASH colors only...No naturals or golden tones, those will only make the red stand out more. It may take a couple dye jobs, but it will come out. Look at my 360 profile...I had red highlights and it took three dye jobs to get it like it is now, so i know what I'm talking about

From red tint back to natural hair color?

200000 YEARS

From red tint back to natural hair color?

i went red for a few years also , its the hardest color to keep in check since it fades so fast, and i wanted to go back to my dark brown i tried dying it dark brown myself but the red came though on a two occasions so i had a pro do it where red was removed and my color restored. i would go have the salon do it and get the color you want and give your hair a break before you put lights in.

From red tint back to natural hair color?

I had red in my hair sometime ago and I will never do that again. Red is the hardest color to take out of your hair. I tried taking the red out myself at home and my hair changed the colors of the sunset. Orange, yellow, red and so on LOL I looked like I was in a movie "Cholas Gone Wild" LOL The best thing for you to do is have your hair dyed the color you want by a professional then start dying it at home yourself after that. Like I said red is the hardest color to take out so let the professionals do it as not to damage your hair in the process.

How do u git ur natural hair color back?

i jst resently died my blondish hair brown and it does not look right on me... i even died my eyebrows...dunno y...and im wondering how to git ur hair back to its natural color...

How do u git ur natural hair color back?

you can either wait, and wash it all the time....

or you can go to a hair salon and get the hair color "stripped" is what they call it. It takes the hair coloring out, BUT it leaves your hair very frizzy and in bad condition. I would recommend washing your hair a lot. about 3 times a day. The more you do it, the more it fades

How do u git ur natural hair color back?

well number one u can wait till it turns back to its color which will take at least 3 months or

u can dye ur hair back to its color

How do u git ur natural hair color back?

i think there is something you can use to strip ur hair of the dye...

How do u git ur natural hair color back?

You could go to a hair dresser where they could dye your hair and make it look almost like it did originally:)

How do u git ur natural hair color back?

Grow it out by dying it with non permanent colour which is close to your colour.

Keep doing this until your natural colour grows out and then you must go through the ugly duckling stage of letting the temporary colour wash out to see the real you..

Otherwise cut it short and grow it out.

There's no quick way to do this.

How do u git ur natural hair color back?

my friend always dies her hair and she wanted to go back to her natural color, so wat she did was waited a little bit for some of her roots to show, and then died her hair that color, so that when her natural color came back, she wouldn't have a huge line going all the way around her head...

good luck!!

How do u git ur natural hair color back?

Colour Oops!

It works wonderfully.

How do u git ur natural hair color back?

You can die it a lighter color several times as you let it grow out until it is back to normal or you can just let it grow out and deal with the two-toned hair. Don't mess with the looks God gave you after you get it back to normal. Same thing with body piercing - I know too many people who wish they had never tried to change they way they were born. Too late if you've already done it, though.

How do u git ur natural hair color back?

welll the only way to go back to a totally natural (undyed) color would be to let it grow out. you could try getting highlights to blend in the roots until you are all the way grown out.

How do u git ur natural hair color back?

Professionally. Any other way, and you could really pull some wild colors.

When going from a perm to natural hair do you have to cut the perm off?

im transitioning from perm to natural hair im currently getting braids right now but i dont want to cut all my hair off i've been getting braids in my hair for about six months what do i do

When going from a perm to natural hair do you have to cut the perm off?

Yes the only way is to grow it out. If you keep it in braids while you grow it out it will be ok and tjhen when it is long enough for you you can donate it cause they do except permed hair or you can get it cut slowly and grow it out that way.

When going from a perm to natural hair do you have to cut the perm off?

you can also wait until it all grows back, but the endsz will still be permed, because chemicals don't come out. :]

When going from a perm to natural hair do you have to cut the perm off?

you don't have to chop it all at once. but you should cut it every now and then just because if you don't cut it at all. it will do more harm than good

Can you recommend a good setting lotion for natural black hair?

My hair is chemical free. When I style it the style only lasts about 6 hours on a good day unless I'm wearing braids, twists, an updo or an afro. I'd like to wear my wavy and curly styles longer so I need a setting creme or lotion to help. Anyone with natural hair or natural curly or natural kinky hair know of a good product I can use for this kind of style? I can get it STRAIGHT then wave it but you know...that style's flopped and frizzed before the end of the party! Help!

Can you recommend a good setting lotion for natural black hair?

I have recently discovered (organic root stimulator) Anti-frizz Olive oil Glossing Polisher. So far so good and staying that way. It is a clear liquid in a transparent container, quite light and not greasy. Hope it works for you. An afro is not easy to keep tidy especially in cold weather. I hear you... I am really thinking of going bald!

Can you recommend a good setting lotion for natural black hair?

run out of the party as fast as you can,if not, then you will be insulted.attend short parties.

Can you recommend a good setting lotion for natural black hair?

Wear a blonde wig

Can you recommend a good setting lotion for natural black hair?

then maybe your name should be flopped and frizzed instead of sleek?

Can you recommend a good setting lotion for natural black hair?

Try LottaBody Setting Lotion my curls for a few days without re-applying the setting lotion, but I also roll up my hair nightly.

How do you transition from chemically relaxed hair to natural hair?

What are the different styles for natural hair, and is there a good web site that i can view for natural hair styles and maintenance?

How do you transition from chemically relaxed hair to natural hair?

I went through the same transition. My hair basically fell out. I have fine hair and the person let the relaxer sit for to long. So I cut some of the ends off..and I let the perm grow out. Every 8 weeks I went to the shop to get my ends trimmed.I used nothing but natural organic products in my hair during this transition (expensive, but well worth it). My hair is at the middle of my back now, strong and healthy. It took about 2 1/12 years for this transition.

http://www.nappturality.com/

This is a great website about different hairstyles you can do with natural hair, and also great tips on how to take care of your hair externally, as well as internally ( very important to take of ourselves on the inside in order to promote healthy anything).

How do you transition from chemically relaxed hair to natural hair?

By shaving your head and allowing it to grow back.

How do you transition from chemically relaxed hair to natural hair?

Well the transition is going to be a long one. Since you need to let the relaxed hair grow out. Most people end up cutting off most of it to speed up the process. I guess there are a bunch of styles for natural hair but I don't know any good websites. WHen most people do grow out their hair they most times twist it all up so that they can control the new growth.

How do you transition from chemically relaxed hair to natural hair?

Check out www.longhaircareforum.com

It's a website geared primarily to African-American haircare. You'll find great info/discussions on transitioning.

How do you transition from chemically relaxed hair to natural hair?

you can let it grow out a bit and then cut off the str8 part. that would me u rock the short hair, it's better if your hair was curly before so the short cut you can rock the curls.

or you can grow it out long enough cut of the str8 ends and wear braids in your hair until you're comfortable with the length. ppl norm do that. wear braids until they're confortable with the length of your hair. many different styles and wear to ways to wear braids.

at any point u have to get the str8 ends cut off because it would start to damage your hair if you leave it.

How do you transition from chemically relaxed hair to natural hair?

I grew my hair out by wearing braids and sew-in extensions and it did not fall out. Growing it out with braids takes about a year and you might still have to cut off the permed ends, but you will have alot of virgin hair to work with. There is actually a natural hair group on myspace, they have tips from users and links to other sites. Just search the myspace groups for "Natural hair."

Where can i see the natural african hair types?

like, i see places where people say they have 4b or 4a or something natural hair. is there like a picture gallery or somewhere where i can see what these hair types look like? or even determine what hair type mine is?

Where can i see the natural african hair types?

motowngirl.com it gives you pics and stuff its really good

Where can i see the natural african hair types?

u should try going to those shops and asking a natural hairstylist. they should be able to let u know what kind of hair u have.....not sure if they would have pictures though. some shops do have pictures of all the hairtypes they work on. or u can try to google it. also try looking in a hair book or magazine. (not the ones with lil willie and cool c in them)

I have hi-lited hair but want my natural color back!?

I have hi-lited my hair a couple times but the most recent time i got most of my hair blonde. now im kinda sick of it and want my natural hair color back, but if i just let the blonde grow out, im worried that the dark roots will look really bad...any suggestions?

I have hi-lited hair but want my natural color back!?

Go to a Sally's store or some type of beauty products store and get a product to strip the hair dye.

Loreal Color Zap Color Remover Kit is supposed to work good.

Good Luck! =)

I have hi-lited hair but want my natural color back!?

Why don't you just find a boxed hair color that matches your natural hair and dye it? Or you can go to the salon and have them dye your hair back to the original color.

I have hi-lited hair but want my natural color back!?

The only way to get your real natural color back is to let it grow out, sorry. Otherwise you have to dye it.

I have hi-lited hair but want my natural color back!?

i have the same problem...i died my hair red and now my roots are growing back and it looks so weird....but its not as obvious as blond though. Why not try dying ur hair back to your natural color, if its too damaged from the blonde color to get dyed i would suggest letting it grow out and using some very hydrating shampoos and conditioners to get it healthy again thats what i'm doing. If not go to your stylist and they'll be able to dye it back to your natural color and suggest some products you can use to get your hair back to a healthy state.

I have hi-lited hair but want my natural color back!?

buy a box of dye for your natural color and dye the who thing back

I have hi-lited hair but want my natural color back!?

My suggestion is to go to a salon and have a pro match your natural hair color and dye it back. The problem with box colors is that they fade fast. Especially when you put them on lightened hair. And also the color they show on the box isn't always what you get. It depends on the color of your hair and hi-lights how it will turn out.

Whatever you choose to do, Good Luck!

I have hi-lited hair but want my natural color back!?

the exact same thing happened to me...i just got a brown hair dye, and left it in for only a couple min, it put my hair back to the original color and kept the highlights in....

p.s. the dark roots are in style haha

Its bad to dye my natural black hair different shades of black alot??

my natural hair color is black and i want to dye it a different shade of black but i've heard countless stories of people's hair falling out from excessive dyeing

Its bad to dye my natural black hair different shades of black alot??

No, people, black does NOT only come in one shade. It can come with a blue, purple, or even red undertone/tint.

I assume that's what you mean by you dye it different shade of black? If so, are you trying to achieve a certain tint in light/sun? There are other options than continuing to dye it with a permanent dye. Since you have such dark hair, you can use several different colors of Manic Panic, which is a semi-permanent dye (will wash out in 8-12 shampoos, only deposits color, will not lighten natural color). On black hair, it will give you highlights. I used "vampire red" on very dark hair and got dark brown hair that shone red in the sun. They also have midnight and blue/black colors, as well as purple and forest green (if you're that adventurous) .

If you don't want to color so often, I suppose you could still use a permanent dye just don't color too much in too short of a time. Use a good deep conditioner maybe one a week, or once every two weeks. Women have been coloring their hair for ages, you should be fine. Especially since you're not bleaching. If you've used a chemical straightener or a perm, give your hair enough time to recover before doing the color.

Good luck.

Its bad to dye my natural black hair different shades of black alot??

Your hair is black but you want to dye it black? I don't get it. I am sorry. I can't help you I just thought the question was confusing but then again I am stupid guy with a full head of black hair and never thought of dying it "blacker".

Its bad to dye my natural black hair different shades of black alot??

no not falling out but extreme damage hair that can be repaired what happened to me

Its bad to dye my natural black hair different shades of black alot??

your hair won't fall out from dying it once. it starts falling out when you dye it too much in too short a time. like changing the color three times in a week. that is very very bad for you hair. just color it every six weeks and you should be good.

so, go for the blue-black. that is pretty much the coolest black there is.

Its bad to dye my natural black hair different shades of black alot??

No not really. But i don't understand why you would want to dye your hair the same color it is unless you mean like midnight( the black with the blue tint) but if you do dye it black it is going to be REALLY hard to change the color lighter like blong or even a light to somewhat dark brown

Its bad to dye my natural black hair different shades of black alot??

ahahahaha. black only comes in one shade!

hair falling out? that only happens if you dye every week. and it depends on the person too.

I made another "natural hair beauty" video on youtube, so what do you think of it?

My purpose of doing it is to show people, particulary black women that they don't HAVE to straighten their in order to be attractive. Also for those women who do wear natural hair to maybe find new styles. So just give me your opinion in the most respectful way possible.

No, but there are many places to get natural hair products. The Vitamin Shoppe is one example. Don't let Bath %26amp; Body works fool you though, thier products are not natural. Or www.lush.com

Do anyone know of a good natural hair stylist or shop in the BHam area???

I used to live in B'ham! Contact some of the local salons in Homewood, Vestavia, or Mtn. Brook.

Sorry you live in such a shitthole of a town. Get out while you can! Birmingham is the diahrrea of the U.S.

Do anyone know of a good natural hair stylist or shop in the BHam area???

By natural do you mean the products and color? Like an Aveda Salon? If so, there is a really good Aveda Salon in Mtn. Brook, Richard Joseph Salon. They are a bit pricey but they are an aveda concept salon. Also for aveda, there is Jucos on 280, and Jilbere in cahaba height. They all use aveda products, the summit on 280 also has an aveda store. otherwise for just a salon, you can come see me, David at Regis in the Galleria. we dont have aveda products though.

Ways to get my hair back from black to its natural colour.?

I dyed my hair black using permanent dye (It seemed a good idea at the time) but after about a year of re-dying every month Ive decided I want my old hair colour back. (My natural hair colour is light brown)

I've read how if you dye it black it will never go back. Is this really true? Whether it is or isnt, is there anyway to make the hair colour fade using chemicals or home remedies, anything?

Any advice would be great...

Ways to get my hair back from black to its natural colour.?

Okay, first of all, the phrase "Once you go black, you never go back" Is not referring to hair dye.

Secondly, let your hair grow for about 4 to 6 weeks until you get "roots." Depending on the length of your hair, If you dye it (professionally) your natural color, you could probably be completely natural within a few months.

There's no guaranteed way to fade colored hair. If you want to try, then I'd suggest using a shampoo or conditioner that is known to be bad for colored hair.

Ways to get my hair back from black to its natural colour.?

You've just got to let it grow out and then cut it short to get your natural color back...but your hair might be a little darker for a little while.

Sorry, no home remedies. You couple pay like $100 an hour to get the black stripped out and hope your hair doesn't fall out too.

Ways to get my hair back from black to its natural colour.?

You can try bleaching your hair but my cousin tried that and it turned auburn. You can try just to let the color grow out of your hair.

Ways to get my hair back from black to its natural colour.?

Die it a light brown, then wait for your natural color to come back. You should die it light brown first so you don't look weird with black hair and brown roots. That's probably the easiest way. To make it grow out faster get it trimmed more often then usual.

Ways to get my hair back from black to its natural colour.?

Well my best friend had dyed her hair dark brown( almost black) and her hair stylist had to perform a procedure known as "strip your hair" I know it sounds weird but they use chemicals to get rid of the permanent die so that your hair will take the dye for a lighter color. I doubt it that your natural hair will grow back to its original color but it might resemble. I remember when I use to have really pretty honey brown hair then after I dyed it, the pigments in my hair grew dark and now my hair is plain dark brown. Good luck. I suggest you just let your natural hair color grow back by not dying your hair at all. I know you might feel weird or awkward but it's so much healthier for your hair.

Ways to get my hair back from black to its natural colour.?

Im a hairdresser myself, and i suggest that you get a hair colour stripper from a salons supplys store,or grow the colour out yourself.good luck.

Ways to get my hair back from black to its natural colour.?

I had the same problem where i died my hair black from medium brown. It is very hard to get back to normal. There is a solution that I know you can get at walmart its called color be gone or something like that. But I would strongly recomend that you go to a hair stylist and let them do it. I did and it took them two times of me coming back and being treated before it got most of it out. Or if you let it grow it will grow out and you can cut the black out. Hope this helped!

OLIVE OIL IS GREAT

New Ideas for Natural Hair Styles?

I have a natural afro. Sometimes I wear a frohawk, sometimes braids (don't really like). I need some new, different ideas. I like to stand out, but I am out of ideas, lol! I don't want dreads right now. I don't straighten my hair because it is too long and bothers me when it is straight. What can I do?

twists outs, braid outs, flat twists, 2 strand twists, 3 strand twists, bantu knots, comb coils, and/or play it up with different hair accessories. Head bands, feathers, and etc.

New Ideas for Natural Hair Styles?

Just cut your hair like Chris Brown .

When he had his hair cut low.

Then he had some designs on it like in lines that criss cross and go in many ways.

Also u can just wear waves .

You can do this by washing your hair.

Then brush it at night or any where

Finally put a wave cap on your head

In a couple weeks you will have waves.(it might take a long time to form waves)

I have extremely curly (kinky) hair. Should i perm it or keep it natural?

I know people say that natural hair is healthier than permed hair, but because my hair is so curly, there's not much to do with it and i don't want dreds and i don't like putting heat to my hair often. i want versatility. I also don't want to braid my hair for life.

I have extremely curly (kinky) hair. Should i perm it or keep it natural?

get a relaxer-- well TRY a relaxer, but if you get it done once, you have to keep getting it done.

I have extremely curly (kinky) hair. Should i perm it or keep it natural?

uhmm...

get it chemically straightened...

I have extremely curly (kinky) hair. Should i perm it or keep it natural?

perhaps get a weave

or i would suggest perming it and greasing it

relaxers are healthier

but it looks awkward

i prefer a nice weave, with caucasian style hair

I have extremely curly (kinky) hair. Should i perm it or keep it natural?

keep it natural! perm will really damage your hair!

I have extremely curly (kinky) hair. Should i perm it or keep it natural?

keep your hair natural, theres are plenty of styles you can do with it, you just don't know that many yet.

I don't use heat in my hair either, I have a relaxer by the way, so its kinda big and frizzy. I can still style it, two and three strand twists, braid-outs, and twist-outs. The styles I just mentioned are actually for and look better when done with natural hair. You could do a really chic bun or flat-twists. Braids are not the only style option for natural hair. Keep it natural, you'll be glad you did in the long run. I plan on going natural once my relaxed hair reaches my waist(i want to do a long transition, i don't look right with short hair)

remember, you can always go from kinky to straight/relaxed but never from straight/relaxed to kinky/natural

I have extremely curly (kinky) hair. Should i perm it or keep it natural?

Well you already have curly hair so why perm it? But if you want a more finished look get a perm then.

I have extremely curly (kinky) hair. Should i perm it or keep it natural?

actually the health of relaxed hair depends on if you know how to take care of it. natural hair is the most versatile. you can do every type of hair style possible. if your worried about styles you can do

-twists/twist outs

-bantu knots

-braids/braid outs

-buns

-puffs

-rollersets with different roller sizes/types to vary the look

or you can press your hair for a straight style

I have extremely curly (kinky) hair. Should i perm it or keep it natural?

keep it natural.but if you do you should get a kiddy perm or bontanicles sensitive scalp relaxer for fine hair....so it wont change the texture too much so it will just be easier to straigthten out..but you should really keep you hair natural

www.texasbeautysupplies.com/sofbeautbo...

I have extremely curly (kinky) hair. Should i perm it or keep it natural?

Yes u should get a perm since u don't like to have braids or heat on your hair. The tip of getting a perm u should keep tour hair moist so it won't fall out. If u plan on keeping a perm don't get done to often wait every once a month or every 3 or 4 weeks .

I have extremely curly (kinky) hair. Should i perm it or keep it natural?

keep it natural! you can press it then wrap it at night it should last at least a week for the straight look. you don't have to keep your hair braids. you can wear a poof, twists our natural hair is very versatile

What color should I dye my hair if my natural color is dark brown almost black?

I would like to dye my hair but was told I cannot if my natural hair growth is dark brown and the regrowth is a brownish red. What color should I dye my hair so it will be my natural color? Can I dye it dark brown?

What color should I dye my hair if my natural color is dark brown almost black?

You can dye it dark brown as long as you dye it every month or two or you could dye it dark brown with a tint of red so it will macht you out growth

What color should I dye my hair if my natural color is dark brown almost black?

an auburn would be nice.

What color should I dye my hair if my natural color is dark brown almost black?

You shouldn't go too many shades lighter cos it'll look awful when the hair grows out, so unless you want to keep dyeing all the time, a chestnut would be nice.

What color should I dye my hair if my natural color is dark brown almost black?

I think highlights in a light brown shade would be nice. The trick is to start out subtle and if you like it then go a little further about a month later.

Wash it , condition it, just as you will without a perm, except be more careful with it , because hair not so soft can break, or damage.. Go to yahoo, and type in the search you can find answers etc..

How do you take care of natural hair?

-Wash it and Condition it once a week.

-Make sure your hair stays moisturized(*grease)

-Do a hot oil treatment once a month

Good Luck!

How do you take care of natural hair?

well since your hair is probably damaged from the perming, you will need to use a lot of conditioners and rebuilding shampoos. if you want it to rebuild don't straighten it blowdry it. let it air dry and brush it out with those big square brushes not combs. also don't brush your hair until it is dry(like after you take a shower)

How do you take care of natural hair?

get shampoo and conditoner theats right for your hair.. Hair masks you can make your own with eggs and olive oil. Sleeping on a satin pillowcase all this can help also mosturise with a special moustiers for your hair type everyday

How do you take care of natural hair?

What I am doing right now is keeping it in braids but if you don't have anybody to do it for you then you just wash it and grease it every week and press it every month and I mean a really good press. You need to use organic carrot oil on your hair and hair mayonnaise. Keep it well condition and you should not have any problems. Get your ends cut every month and use Pantene Pro-V relaxed and natural.

My hair's black but my eyebrows are dark blond, dye them? going back to natural how?

i dyed my hair jet black two months ago, and i still can't get used to the look of my dark blond eyebrows, they just look weird, this is my natural hair color (www.myspace.com/greeneyedgeek), ive got a fauxhawk now, so i can actually see my eyebrows, should i dye them? cuz im afraid i'll look like a muppet. And i too want to go back to my natural haircolor, but i dunno how, and i don't wanna shave my head

My hair's black but my eyebrows are dark blond, dye them? going back to natural how?

No, no, no!! Don't dye your eyebrows!! Professionals are prohibited by the law from dying eyebrows, so I definitely would not recommend that. Just leave them like they are. You run the risk of getting the dye in your eyes, which will cause you to go blind. I think having mismatched eyebrows is better than not even being able to see your eyebrows. If it bothers you that much, get an eyebrow liner and fill them in a darker color. That would be the safest route.

My hair's black but my eyebrows are dark blond, dye them? going back to natural how?

since you want to go natural do not dye your eyebrows just let your hair color grow out and keep getting it cut,the black will evenually be gone.

Why would a hair relaxer cause my natural hair to go being thick and wavy to curly/ thin?

I honestly tried to go natural and not use any chemicals in my hair, but it was getting too difficult, and I did not know how to maintain it well. It was wavy/thick instead of afro textured. So, I gave up and put a relaxer on it and now I have noticed that my hair (when air dryed) has a very loose curl pattern which is easier to comb and manage than when it was thick. Why would it do this.. I did not use a texturizer. I would also like to know if I can maintain it this way??

Why would a hair relaxer cause my natural hair to go being thick and wavy to curly/ thin?

relaxers are made to keep the frizz out of your hair and make it easier to manage. to maintain this make sure you keep your hair away from heat products. you should also touch up the roots of your hair with relaxer every 4-6 months be careful not to over do it though because the chemicals can be very damaging, have fun with your relaxed hair!!

Why would a hair relaxer cause my natural hair to go being thick and wavy to curly/ thin?

the molecules in curly hair are arranged in clusters. relaxers break down the bonds between these molecules and arrange them in a straight line. therefore, the hair strand becomes straight or at least loses some of the curl.

How do I get my hair back to it's natural color?

My natural hair color is medium brown. Last year, I went to my hair dresser and colored it red for a drastic change. Since then, I've used color out of a box and I've been back to my stylist once. I am trying to get it back to brown, but every color that I use or my stylist uses goes back to red after a few weeks.I don't want to keep coloring it every few weeks. She told me that the only way to get it back to its natural color is to bleach it and then color it. Is this the only way besides letting it grow and cutting it? My hair is pretty long and I don't want to cut it and it looks really bad letting it grow on its own. Is the bleaching and coloring something I can do on my own or should I go to a stylist? Is there anything that will just take all of the color out and take it back to its natural color? Thanks.

How do I get my hair back to it's natural color?

Try using a clarifying shampoo. They are usually pretty good at stripping out color when you don't want them to lol. Red's and blacks are the hardest colors to change, but luckily red fades pretty quick. Low lights would be a good idea. Add in dark streaks..that will help the red blend better. I wouldn't bleach your hair, that's unnecessary damage for just being impatient.

How do I get my hair back to it's natural color?

I recommend a new salon, they can match you with the best color and do the best job. Good luck! (Be specific when you tell them the color you want)

How do I get my hair back to it's natural color?

Your hairstylist is right. Your red color will have to be lifted and then your hair re-colored.

How do I get my hair back to it's natural color?

there is a shampoo out there that will strip your hair back to its natural color, go to your local drug store and they will have it there. it said on the bottle that it is made so that people who make mistakes when coloring their hair can "undo the mistake"

How do I get my hair back to it's natural color?

DO NOT BLEACH IT!!!!! there is another way. search for a "GOLDWELL" salon they will have a color remover that can take out *MOST* of the color without bleach. then they can neutralize what's left.

ps a shampoo that strips your color will be a harsh one. you can try it, but I just wanted to warn you

How do I get my hair back to it's natural color?

your probably better off going to your salon and getting them to gently strip it to its normal or just grow it out

How do I get my hair back to it's natural color?

RED and BLACK- the hardest colors to get out of your hair....RED especially. I am a stylist and to be very honest with you, the only way to go natural is to let your hair grow out. color- all colors- are not natural as they have shine to 'em and what not. Bleaching would also result in breakage, I"m afraid, and result in you cutting it shorter, alot shorter. It's what I would call a chemical haircut there. Let it grow, fade that red. Might I recommend highlighting some strands brown to blend in with the red you already have? when I say highlight, I am not talking blonde. Put some brown streaks thru the top so it doesn't look like "hey I'm growing my color out" to give it some time and take some biotin pills or prenatal pills to speed up the growth process. Cut your hair about every 3 to 4 months and good luck.

How do I get my hair back to it's natural color?

shave it all off and let it grow again

How do I get my hair back to it's natural color?

Dont mess w/ it for a while i mean eventually your true color will come out

How do I get my hair back to it's natural color?

The best way is to stop all over hair coloring and go to low-lights. (meaning go one shade darker then your natural) this will help get rid of the red. If you go in and bleach it and color it you will be going into a corrective coloring and most likly you will hate or its not close enough to natural as it grows. As a Stylist I would recommend lo-lights cause you can go a little longer then all over color and get regualar trims in between to help get rid of the old color. The other way will do serave damage and will end up cutting more off then you expected. The end of your hair is more porus so it will grab anything after bleaching. And Plan on being there at least 5 hours or more or come back later due to sore on the head

How do I get my hair back to it's natural color?

get a hair stripper, then dye your hair to its regular color

How do I get my hair back to it's natural color?

re die it...

How do I get my hair back to it's natural color?

2 tablespoons SUNLIGHT dishsoap (has to be sunlight)

1 teaspoon vinegar

1 teaspoon baking soda

saturate hair, leave for 5 - 10 minutes, this will remove the red from your hair. You can use this solution as often as you wish to strip the color it will not harm your hair.

How do I get my hair back to it's natural color?

LET IT GROW

How do I get my hair back to it's natural color?

Gurl, I would NOT bleach my hair so neither should u. I would let it grow out and your natural color should appear in the roots. So you won't be tempted to color it again i would get cornrows braids or something just not micros

How do I get my hair back to it's natural color?

Bleach

How do I get my hair back to it's natural color?

dye it duh..........

How do I get my hair back to it's natural color?

try using an ash color to neutralize the red tones. then when you dull out the red, put your color on but make sure it is also an ash color.

How do I get my hair back to it's natural color?

find a base color and dye your hair.then let your hair grow out. that way while your hair is growing....your natural color will look like expensive highlights

How do I get my hair back to it's natural color?

Sorry the only way to get your natural color is to have it grow out and live with it.

How do I get my hair back to it's natural color?

You can go to the hair dressers and ask them to strip the colour out of your hair. It takes a lot of goes but it will get back to your original colour safely without harsh chemicals and breakage.

How do I get my hair back to it's natural color?

1. Get a new stylist!

2. Do not bleach your hair!!

3. You could dye it 1 shade darker then your natural color and let it fade in, or else just let it grow.

I would suggest talking to your new stylist and see what they recommend doing.

Good Luck!

How do I get my hair back to it's natural color?

use amla oil it makes the hair darker

How do I get my hair back to it's natural color?

wait til all the dye in your hair grows out toward the bottom and then get it cut. Duh..... common sence.

How do I get my hair back to it's natural color?

u should just bleach it and then color it the color that you want. that's the only way besides cutting it and regrowing it.....

How do I get my hair back to it's natural color?

your stylist is right u will have liftoff the red color and then colour ur hair brown... letting it go on its own is a verybad idea and yes u need hair repair i recommend u go to a professional... its better that way!

use extra conditioner or your hair culd lose its lustre with the bleach and colouring

How do I get my hair back to it's natural color?

new hairstylist

How do I get my hair back to it's natural color?

I would recommend that you get a base colar of medium brown!I don't know why it is turning red over and over!they have colaring kits to take red out of hair use one in the colar!

How do I get my hair back to it's natural color?

Wash wash and wash, don't do anything else to your hair it ruins it, plus eventually the color will fade! Because of natural ability it should go back eventually you just have to be patient!

How can you remove semi-permanent hair dye without changing the natural hair color?

I need some hair help- fast! My natural hair color is a medium/dark blonde, but I decided to use a semi-permanent(28 day wash out) dark red dye on it. It looked very pretty for the first two or three weeks, but then it took on this dull red-orange color. Since then, the color has stayed the same, and it's been six weeks since I dyed it.

I would like to have my blonde-ness back by wednesday, because school starts back up, and I don't want to go with this odd red-orange mess. I tried one of the crystal clarifying treatments, but it barely changed the color of my hair. Since it takes nearly a year and a half to grow it out, I don't want to use bleach or another dye to make the red go away. I obviously don't have a salon license, so my choice of products is probably limited. I was wondering if there are any products that will take the dye out without changing my natural hair color at all. Thanks.

How can you remove semi-permanent hair dye without changing the natural hair color?

The red molecule in hair color is the biggest...Wich makes it difficult to penitrate into the hair shaft but once in, it is the hardest to remove from the hair. It is also the hardest color to maintain looking as vibrant as it does in the begining week or two.

In your question you wrote you did not want to use another color or bleach.....The only way you will be able to get rid of the red will be by covering it up with another color that will counter act the red/orange.....which is going to be a color with a purple, blue, or green undertone.....You should choose a color that is one level lighter than your natural color....I would recommend having it professionally done. Hair color that salons use is much different than store bought color....salon color leaves your hair feeling better than when you walked through the door.....Store color leaves your hair feeling like straw...Plus you will have the expertise of a trained professional to figure out your corrective color......Otherwise, you could end up just creating another mess on your head!!!!

How can you remove semi-permanent hair dye without changing the natural hair color?

what i would do is get hair dye and match it up to my natural hair color. i done that and no one really noticed.

How can you remove semi-permanent hair dye without changing the natural hair color?

There is nothing that will remove the color without changing your natural color. Semi-permanent stains the cuticle and washes out slowly but usually always affects the natural color until cut off.

I would suggest that you just make the best of what you have by using a non-ammonia color gloss. Such as Jazzing or Sebastian Cellophane's or Matrix Prisms. They contain no ammonia and will not alter your natural color. Another option is to use a shampoo with red color pigments in it. It will enhance the red and add shine until it grows out. There is also a clear gloss that only adds shine.

One other option is to use the color gloss, but go opposite, an ash color in the gloss. It might neutralize some of the red-orange and become a more natural looking brown.

But do not try to lighten your hair by Wednesday to a blond, only a professional would be able to do it correctly.

What shampoo straightens natural hair?

ok my friend has natural hair and she doesn't want to straighten or perm so what should she do because she wants it straight.

What shampoo straightens natural hair?

If you can find a shampoo that can straighten your hair without chemicals, let me know so I can try it too.

This question is for those who know alot about african/natural kinky hair and the BIG CHOP da da dum

the big chop i when you want natural hair but you still have relaxed hair . you usally let your hair grow a couple of inches and THEN chop it off. sum people just chop it all of and start a fresh well my mom doesnt want me to do that she says your relaxed hair falls of bye its self??? beacuse the natural hair is so heavy well anybody kno if this is okay to do??? beacuse i dont wanna break my hair i rather be bald for a couple of weeks right now my natural hair is about 5 inches!! its half and half

This question is for those who know alot about african/natural kinky hair and the BIG CHOP da da dummmm?

Just chop it off. Its healthier and it looks great! I LOVED my short short short hair. It was so sexy looking believe it or not. I didnt think guys would hit on me but I actually got hit on quite a lot. My only issue came along when I had medium- ish hair. I hated that inbetween state so I got braids.

My roommate is going natural but keeping the relaxer in and I don't suggest it. Her hair is breaking and it looks strange. Even when she straightens it with a flat iron it eventually looks strange.

This question is for those who know alot about african/natural kinky hair and the BIG CHOP da da dummmm?

yes, your relaxed hair will fall off. Your hair will break off at the point where the different textures meet. It isn't advised to let this happen because it leaves you with damaged ends, and it might take a while for all of the relaxed hair to break off.

Should my hair be dyed brown or should it be natural blonde?

My hair is naturally blonde.. its really light blonde, and i have pale skin. I dyed it brown about 4 months ago... it looks good, but with my pale skin and blue eyes, im not sure if it looks that good. I feel more confident with brown hair, because my blonde natural hair looks too blonde.. and people comment about it... Its hard cus i have to keep dying it all the time, as it starts to go ginger after a few weeks.. not sure what to do! help!! I am male.. and I have it (3-4" long), and usualy straighten it

Should my hair be dyed brown or should it be natural blonde?

If you have fair skin and blue eyes, change it back to it's original color. Anything darker will look obviously dyed. Sorry.

Should my hair be dyed brown or should it be natural blonde?

Dye it back or get a tan.

Should my hair be dyed brown or should it be natural blonde?

do what you like best!

i would go with brown.

its what you think, not others.

=)

Should my hair be dyed brown or should it be natural blonde?

dont die it something about blonde hair blue eyes is realy hot!!!

:]

Should my hair be dyed brown or should it be natural blonde?

dye it a darker shade of blonde. it will look the best

Should my hair be dyed brown or should it be natural blonde?

dark hair usually looks good with blue eyes. If your getting alot of comments about it obviously people like it. If it is just your roots that are growing out then you can get touch up hair dye at the store so you can touch up your roots between dying.

Should my hair be dyed brown or should it be natural blonde?

All hair color fades, that's a fact. Since you sound like you are fair, brown may or may not look good depending on the shade. Dark brown probably makes you look pale so be careful that you don't go "too brown". The best advice I ever heard was never to go more than two shades away from your natural color.

Should my hair be dyed brown or should it be natural blonde?

i would keep it blond. dying your hair over and over again will just ruin your hair because of all the chemicals in the dye. i have known people who do what you do and after awhile of dying their hair, their hair started to look like straw.

Should my hair be dyed brown or should it be natural blonde?

with pale skin and blue eyes,i think blonde hair would be better.blonde hair shows off your blue eyes and it dosent make your pale skin look to pale.you choose.well i hope i helped.good luck!!!!!!!!

Should my hair be dyed brown or should it be natural blonde?

brownish blonde

Should my hair be dyed brown or should it be natural blonde?

keep it blonde, blue eyes and pale skin will definately look better with you natural color, not brown, plus dying your hair takes a lot of time and money and stuff lol

Should my hair be dyed brown or should it be natural blonde?

get a dark blond color or us a henna dye

Should my hair be dyed brown or should it be natural blonde?

try to cut it but natural bonde hair is sexii and mad cute!! just try trimming it to 1" trust me i wish by boy had blonde hair. keep it just trust, im a girl.

Should my hair be dyed brown or should it be natural blonde?

No matter what I think its best to stay your natural hair color, stay true to yourself, and stay pure.

Hair die can't be healthy for you all those chemicals seeping into your scalp. Your hair can閳ユ獩 like it to much either, since it fights against it. It also costs money, and time. It changes who you are because you change the way you see yourself and how you want others to see you which means you create a new reality over hair color.

Throw the conscious living blabber and practicality away and blonde hair and blue eyes is every girls dream, way would you take that away from us... or yourself you may be our last hope!

Should my hair be dyed brown or should it be natural blonde?

Keep it at natural blonde. Alot of people look better with their hair the color they were born with!! So keep it naturally blonde!! and it might still work ( i mean that it will still look good) if you straighten it!

Glad I could help! :)
