Hi Ruby..first u should get agoodtrim and use a smoothing product as well as moisturizing shampoo and conditioner...2separate products please..not a 2 in 1..whenever u use a straightener u must use a heat compatable styling product to protect your hair..turn he iron to medium setting..may take longer but will do less damage..make sure to work roots to ends..small sections ata time..hope this helps

You really need to try and lay off straighting it so much. Try using a shampoo that helps with the straighting process. Also try a straighting serum or leave in conditioner. If you're straighting your hair a lot you need to do something to try and compensate by adding moisture back into your hair.

get a ceramic hair straightener they cost about a 100 dollars but there worth it they don't damage your hair but if u don't have that money right now get Garner sleek and shine it is a leave in conditioner that u put all over your hair when u r about to straighten it and it will protect your hair from damage a bottle costs about 5 dollars how that helps

If you don't have a ceramic straightener get one. If you do already have one, buy and ionic one, they leave your hair silky smooth. Other than that you'll have to start using leave-in conditioner and anti-breakage/damage control shampoo for dry and brittle hair. Your salon should be able to help you find the one that'll work best for you.

they have certain sprays (almost every brand makes them) that you spray in your wet hair before you blow dry and again before you straighten it to help protect against damage.

they have some from redkin that works incredibly!!

i use the "dangerously straight" products from erbal essances. It really helps my hair stay straight. I use the shampoo, conditioner, and this spray. I dont use a flat iorn anymore, it works so well!!!

Have you tried blow drying it in small sections and brushing it constantly while it dryes? That always works for me. If that doesnt work get a deep conditioner.

Ya, you definately should only be straighting once every three days. I'm pretty sure you can get like the opposite of a perm. Also, try turning down the heat on your staightener.

Stop straightening it with a heat straightener. Use a good shampoo and conditioner for dry hair (try Aussie Moist products) and follow with a deep conditioner once a week (try Aussie's three minute miracle deeeeep). This will help with the dry and brittle feeling, although it will NOT "cure" your hair. Let it grow out (it will grow about 6 inches a year.) and DO NOT use the heat straightener. If you want your hair to look straighter, wait until it is 2/3 of the way dry and use a LARGE round brush and a blowdryer with a "cool" setting and use that to "brush" it straight. It will still have a slight wave to it (assuming you have curly hair.) If it grows out healthy, and you want it straightened, go to a salon and have a professional straighten it for you.

First, you should trim the dead ends off so it looks better, then start using a deep conditioner and try using a new straightener.
