Do you know what your natural hair texture is?

I haven't let my hair fully dry by itself in a couple of years.

I've always put in hair products while it was wet, blow dried it, straightened it, etc.

I figure it'd be different if I didn't use a straightening cream or a curling mousse or even a defrizzer.

I think I'm going to let it dry on its own tomorrow, to see what it's actually like! I'm kind of excited, haha.

Does anyone else not really know their hair's natural texture?

I let mine air dry because I have short curly hair and it looks best like that. But when it was long and I wore it straight it would be kinda dry and frizzy (cause of the curls). I used lots of conditioner and gel and other junk just to make it managable and soft. It's a handful to deal with if you air dry it with no cream/gel or anything in it so good luck! And thank God for hair hair appliances and gels! LOL

I can guarantee you that you will have some frizzies and it will feel out of control. Let us know what you find out....

My hair is naturally nappy but I am almost completely bald now so it doesn't matter

My hair grain is thick and dry. But I have always corrected it by using hair conditioner everyday.

I dont i was thinking about do that soon but i didnt want it to look bad. But who knows u were born with it so it can look that bad.

Yes, sometimes I let it air dry and have found it is very wavy.

mine is actually really soft if i brush it out when it's wet and let it dry down on its own...

if i pull it up and let it dry though its really frizzy and wiry feeling...its nasty

i only go natural, lol i love my hair:) i really lucked out in that department. It's so shiny and silky, and loosely curly. It's slightly dry though, so i have to keep ontop of trims.

mine used to be fine thin and stick straight.

all of a sudden, it changed to fine, average, and super wavy.

strange. i know hormonal changes, medicinal changes, and other things can change your hair texture, but it wasn't changing as it grew; it changed overnight. one day, i let it dry naturally and it was straight. the next, i went to work, got a haircut, and my co-worker/stylist said, "man your hair is curly!" and it's been a pain in the **** ever since lol. love my chi. couldn't live without it.

never mind knowing what the texture is. I can't even remember what the original colour was.
