Use cholestrerol, u can get it any beauty store, or even walmart. It helps protect your hair and strenghtens it. Do it after you wash it.

Use a pressing oil before you flat iron. I've never heard of using cholesterol as the first person answered...because cholesterol is a type of conditioner...?

I have naturally dark brown/almost black hair. I use the following after washing my hair to straighten it.

1)Chi Keramist (leave-in), spray in damp hair and comb out 2) Depending on length, Chi OIL w/Paul Mitchell Skinny -blend togther and work into hair starting from the ends up. Be careful not to over do it on the scalp - will make it look oily and weigh it down 3) Blow out/dry with Round brush. 4) When ready to straighten it, use Chi Heat Protector - Prevents heat damage/breakage and burning your hair.

After you're done straightening, you can spray a shine mist mid way to ends of hair to add more shine. Be sure to hold spray abou 4 inches away from hair.
