How do you dye your hair from brown to a natural shade of blonde?

My natural hair color is a light blonde, but i went brunette in the fall. now i want my hair color close to my natural hair color (blonde), but i cannot afford to go to a salon. how do i do this? should i buy bleach, bleach my hair, then dye my hair back to a blonde shade on the same day? i only want this to take one day. please help me.

Try just using a blonde die. Prefferably something that is semi-permanant just in case you screw it up. Then if you like it you can get the same color in permanant. Once you do the blonde all over die... you could do a lot of highlights to lighten it up even more. I wouldn't reccomend doing it all in the same day. I know you want it to take a day but I'm sure you don't want your hair to be fried either. The only other way would be to do your own foils. Then you can do sections with highlights and die the parts that arent foiled with the all over color. That would be very difficult though. Good luck! %26lt;3

You are wanting a lighter shade so remember color does not lift color. Meaning you can't put a color on dark hair and expect it to come out a very pretty lighter shade. If it does lighten it then it may not be a very pretty color. Try putting some hi-lites in it and go from there to the lighter shade you want. Do hi-lites this time and next you may have enough of the dark off your hair that you can get the results you are wanting. Good Luck

Instead of dyeing your hair blonde, consider streaks, that way the blonde doesn;t look one dimentional ( thats what makes it look unnatural) you can do this at home too it;s really easy. I do it all the time.
