Hair extensions with natural hair?

Well, I have naturally kinky hair that is kinda like 3c/4a mix, except my hair is kind of wavy. I was actually wondering if it was possible for someone with natural hair to just get hair extensions/glued in. Or would you have to get it sewn in/weaved? And if it is possible to get extensions, would I have to get natural hair extensions, like kinky hair?

Any suggestions?

Extensions are an iffy subject with me. I'm hairdresser and from years of looking at damage done to hair from extensions, I would seriously think about talking to a professional about it in your area. If you're thinking about it, call around to different salons, ask your friends who have had them. But extensions to me are just hard on your hair no matter what kind your looking to have put in. If you got extensions i would recommend getting 100% human hair and make sure it's a texture like your own. color and everything. otherwise it will look like an extension and that's not the purpose for getting one. It's hard to say what to do. Like I said. Consult with a professional in your area that you trust. Go to different ones, and just have a consultation. Don't commit to someone on a first visit. I hope this helps some...

It is possible to get extensions sewn/weaved in your hair, although finding the right colour is tricky. Looking in big cities with alot of hair places is the best way to find your colour. The extension doesn't have to be natural either. Hair stylists can braid your hair in tiny braids, weaving in extensions. They turn out awesome, and if you have the right colour, everyone with think its all natural.
