Highlighted hair, but want to go back to natural hair color?

My hair is naturally black and I highlighted it two years ago. This past week I went to a different hair dresser and she used bleach. I went with a caramel brown, but I regret it. When the hairdresser rinsed my hair and I saw the results it looked fine. When she dried my hair the highlights got lighter and lighter. It kind of looks like a dark blonde. It doesn't go well my with skin tone and I was wondering if going back to black would damage my hair. Again, I like the highlights, but it doesn't go well with my skin tone, is it possible to get the highlights darkened or something without damaging it too much? Is it possible to go back to my natural hair color?

You can have your stylist tone them down a little more with a darker shade than what she used...there are semi permanants she can use that wont damage your hair..

i had the same problem, i used temporary hair dye, the ones that last about 2months, its alot safer and more gentle. I used the darkest brown first then black. now my hair looks au natural and not fake black

i guess u should wait till your hair grow long.....and cut off the coloured length.......

you can dye it back to your natural color without damaging your hair. Depositing color back into your hair is actually good for it!! It puts back what the bleach took out!!
