How to get my natural hair color back...?

In the past I have dyed my hair too many times and wish I have never did so in the first place. My natural color was brown but when i always had dyed it (to try and make my hair lighter) it never worked and my hair would turn darker and have a reddish orangy tint to it....but now I am done with dying my hair until I begin to get gray hair. I am trying to grow it out and just let my natural hair color grow back but it seems like it would take FOREVER...what is a way I can help speed up the process to just have my natural color back?? (My routes are brown and about 2 1/2 inches from my routes its like an auburn orangy color)...Thanks for the help

dont attempt it @ home as it will end it disaster as home kits dont contain the right strength of peroxide to lift the colour.

Go to a salon, they will dye your hair something close to your roots. You may have to keep coming back to redo it, but that's okay. Whatever color is underneath is a very strong one, and it will keep coming through as the dyes begin to fade, but just keep dying it your natural color until the color underneath is gone, then you can stop coloring it, and your roots should match the hair color. Even as it begins to fade away the roots shouldn't ever get too bad looking.

Obviously you used some bleach in your past, and I know from experience that it never goes away. Bleaching your hair actually changes the structure of each strand, and actually changes the color, whereas dying it, is basically coating the strand with color, so that's why bleach will always show through, even if your natural color is very dark.
