when you color your hair it is SO hard to go back to natural because of the 'roots'.

Only if you get old and your hair turns gray. If you are young and color your hair then let your hair grow back out it should still be the same color it was before you colored it in the first place.

I'm not sure if your hair color will go back, but mine never did. My hair used to be light brown but now it is medium/ dark brown, after coloring it really dark brown. It wasn't regular dark brown, it was so dark that most people thought it was black.
